It’s not entirely clear yet whether Loud Planes Fly Low will be the Rosebuds’ swan song or simply a restatement of purpose, but either way, the band has delivered one of the most arresting breakup albums since Beck’s Sea Change. It’s supposed to be, but if that tension really seems that much like news, maybe you haven’t been rrosebuds closely enough.
